How did you break out of the box of perfectionism?
I’ve had many “breaking out of the box” moments throughout my journey as a model, wife, and mother. What once seemed like the gold standard of beauty and success has shifted as I’ve experienced life in ways I never imagined. The ideal way to look or simply be no longer holds the same weight. I’ve learned that true beauty shines brightest when you’re at peace within yourself. It’s that inner harmony, that energy, that radiates outward and touches everyone around you. That’s the real beauty—the kind that transcends appearances and comes from a place of self-acceptance and love.
What advice would you give your younger self about the pressure to be perfect?
Be yourself and stay true to who you are because you are beautiful and valuable, just as you are. While it can be challenging at times, try not to compare your journey to others—that’s not your story to tell. Embrace change, ask questions, and set meaningful goals that keep you moving forward. Take a moment to appreciate the good things as they come, and always choose kindness and compassion along the way. Above all, stay in tune with what truly lights you up. Remember that no matter what life throws at you, you won’t just survive—you’ll learn, grow, and emerge stronger through every experience.
How has your perception of beauty and success changed over the years?
My definition of success is ever-evolving, shaped by the moments of contentment, joy, and the love of family. It’s not only about external achievements but about seeing my children happy and thriving and embracing the beautiful chaos of life. Success is found in the acceptance that it won’t always look the same- there will be shifts, challenges, and unexpected turns. Yet, in these very changes, we discover the true essence of success, finding peace in the journey, cherishing the small moments, and embracing the glimmers of joy that guide us forward.
What helps you live authentically?
Embracing who you are and shedding the weight of societal expectations is the most beautiful gift you can give yourself. It opens the door to a life filled with true fulfillment and peace. Living authentically, I believe, is a powerful act of self-love and liberation. When you let go of the need for external validation, you create space for your true essence to emerge—flaws, beauty, all of it. It’s in this authenticity that you find the freedom to grow and live with intention.
How do you practice self-love?
To practice self-love, I dedicate time to journal and reflect on my gratitude and the progress I’ve made. This practice has been a part of my life since high school, and while I may not always have the time for lengthy entries, I prioritize “checking in with myself” at least once a week. These moments of reflection allow me to reconnect with my journey, appreciate how far I’ve come, and honor the growth I continue to experience. It’s a powerful reminder to nurture both my mind and spirit.
What are ways you honor your body?
Honoring my body is at the heart of my self-care routine. I prioritize practices like Epsom salt baths, which offer a moment of stillness to let my body rest and recharge. Walking/running is another way I care for myself. It’s more than exercise for me; it’s a mindful practice that clears my mind, grounds me, and gives me the headspace to
approach each day with intention. These rituals not only nurture my physical well-being but also deepen the connection between my body and mind, serving as daily reminders to show gratitude for all that my body does.
