How did you discover Beyond Beauty Project?

I have watched Bridgett grow this project from the ground up, and I am amazed at how all of her ideas and passion have come together. I have learned so much about myself, and the tools she has given to her community are priceless.

How did you break out of the box of perfectionism?

I don't really have a story for this. My largest perfectionism box is one with how the brand is perceived on social media. I am still really stuck in this box! Having the eye of an editor from my past jobs, when it comes to images, I can not put out images I don't absolutely love! I will get back to you when I break out!

What advice would you give your younger self about the pressure to be perfect?

I would tell my younger self to let go, trust fully in your faith, and know that what looks perfect on the outside never really is. And as my mom would say, perfect is boring. Have fun, make mistakes, get dirty, and learn to laugh at yourself.

How has your perception of success changed over the years?

My view of success looks a lot different these days. When I think back on what success meant to me when I was young, monetary growth was always top of mind. Now, success ties back so much to the health and happiness of my family and myself. I love what I do work-wise, but nothing makes me feel more successful than my kids' happiness.

What helps you live authentically?

My family makes me live authentically. I owe it to them to be the best version of myself, and when I am living authentically, I am the best version of myself.

How do you practice self-love?

By accepting myself right now in the moment whatever that moment might be. One day I can be such a go-getter and non stop and other days I like to take longer to get out of my PJs and work from the couch. I have come to accept both of those sides of myself and not to punish myself for the slower days.

What are ways you honor your body?

I honor my body when I listen to it. When it comes to eating or working out, I really try to stay in tune with what my body needs at the time. It's not always easy when it says to take a break or eat the pancakes, but when I do without guilt, I feel the most connected to myself.
